A family on the Upper East Side are seeking two rotational career nannies for their two sons, ages 9 and 3. The role will be 7-days-on 7-days-off. The family splits their time between their homes in Millbrook, NY and on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Typically they spend weekends upstate and weekdays in the city. The client is looking for someone who can live-out while they are in NYC and can live-in in a separate cottage on the property in Millbrook while they’re upstate on weekends and during the Summers.  Responsibilities will consist of caring for their 9-year-old son who has mild cerebral palsy. He is active, bright, and funny, but has some mild physical disability as well as some social-emotional processing difficulties. Other duties include all tasks related to childcare for the three-year-old. This includes engaging with him actively in play and spending time outdoors swimming and running around as well as keeping him on a structured routine. The candidate will be responsible for assisting with any scheduling and planning of appointments as well as keeping on top of the child’s needs. When the family is back in NYC, the candidate will organize/host play-dates and take the children to museums, parks, and activities. The schedule would be Monday through Thursday, typically 10:00am to 8:00pm. They are flexible on start time as all the children are in school but will always need availability during the evening hours. The family spends Summers in the Hamptons, so you would stay overnight Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday during those months. The family includes the mother, father, and one-month-old baby girl. They have two cats.   This person must have extensive experience caring for infant through at least toddler-aged children. The nanny must know milestones the child should be reaching, know age-appropriate developmental activities, must know sleep training and food transitions, be engaging with her, and be able to help guide the new parents by making recommendations, however understand that ultimately the parents wishes on raising the child should be respected. A wonderful, loving family is seeking a rotational nanny for their 3 year-old. The family splits their time between Miami and New York City and travel often. The general daily schedule will be 7am to 8pm (wake up to bedtime), and the nannies will work on a 14-day rotation. Flexibility will be needed for night-time coverage and longer-term travel, so a 24/7 mindset is required during the shift.
