Overview

A warm and loving family in Greenwich, CT is seeking a full-time, experienced, and highly dedicated educator/nanny to provide one-on-one care for their 8-year-old son, who has recently been diagnosed with a combination of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD). This is a specialized, child-focused role where the ideal candidate brings not only patience and structure but also a deep understanding of the emotional and behavioral support a child with ODD requires. The family employs a second nanny to care for their two daughters (ages 13 and 10), so this position is entirely focused on their son- a sweet natured non-aggressive kid who has a hard time self regulating and is controlling. The Nanny will work in close partnership with the stay-at-home mother, maintaining consistent communication and collaboratively navigating daily routines and behavioral strategies.

The ideal candidate is patient, nurturing, positive, and well-versed in behavioral support strategies—ideally with current CT Special Education Teacher Certification (#065). Must be organized, proactive, and flexible, with a strong moral compass, and a passion for working with children who need extra care and structure.

Schedule:

Monday through Thursday from 2pm – 9pm

Fridays from 10:30am – 9pm

This is a long-term, live-out role for a dedicated professional who is passionate about helping children navigate complex emotions and behaviors with love, consistency, and skill.

  • Manage child’s daily schedule including school pickups, activities, and appointments
  • Provide clear, frequent communication and collaboration with parents
