Overview

A family in Pinecrest, FL, is seeking a live-out newborn care specialist for their baby girl, due September 16th. The schedule will be 8pm-6am, with flexibility to move this earlier/later by 1-2 hours, as needed, plus 2-4 additional flexible hours between 6am-8pm, as needed, up to 4 x per week. The family have requested that candidates get their “to-do” list done before sleeping when baby sleeps (e.g. washing bottles, emptying the diaper bin, ensuring baby’s clothes are clean). The contract will run for a period of 6 months (24 weeks), as follows:

Weeks 1-4 - 7 nights per week

Weeks 5-8 - 5 nights per week

Weeks 9-12 - 4 nights per week

Weeks 13-16 - 3 nights per week

Weeks 17-20 - 2 nights per week

Weeks 21-24 - 1 night per week

 

This role is only open to local candidates or those candidates who have separate accommodation within a commutable distance to Pinecrest, FL. 

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize the safety and well-being of the baby at all times
  • Implement an effective sleep/feeding routine that the parents can follow once the term ends
  • Washing bottles, washing baby/child clothes, emptying full baby garbage directly to bins outside, tidying up anything baby/child, prepping baby/child items for the next day, etc.
  • The primary focus will be the new baby, with any extra time expanding to the family’s 18 month-old (managing his laundry and keeping his play areas tidy etc.)

Qualifications

  • Must have at least 5 years' verifiable experience working as a newborn care specialist/ infant care nanny
  • Must have experience working as a newborn care specialist in an “awake care” capacity

Requirements

  • US passport, Green Card or EAC
  • Candidates must be up to date on MMR, Tdap, COVID, and Flu vaccinations.

Salary and Benefits

  • $40 per hour
