Overview

A lovely family in Dallas, TX are seeking a full-time live-out nanny for their 1 year old son. The position starts as soon as they find the right fit! The general schedule will be Monday through Friday from 8am-5:30pm, with a guarantee of 45 hours per week, with some flexibility for occasional schedule changes due to parents' work schedules, or date nights. The ideal nanny genuinely loves children and is deeply committed to their development. They will be knowledgeable in early childhood education, professional, responsible, and passionate about fostering meaningful growth through engaged, thoughtful care, and is looking at this as a long-term role. The family is only considering local candidates. 

Responsibilities

  • Overall care of the child
  • Reading to the child, encouraging explorative play inside and outside, preparing engaging and stimulating age-appropriate activities
  • Minding developmental milestones and educational development
  • Taking the child on outings appropriate to their age and stage of development
  • Help maintain a nap routine and schedule, but also follow baby's cues of when he is tired, hungry, etc
  • Communicating with parents on all aspects of the care of the child, including wellbeing, and development
  • Preparing well-balanced and nutritious meals appropriate to the needs of the child
  • Child related light housekeeping duties such as cleaning and tidying child areas, laundering the child’s clothes and sanitizing toys when needed
  • Being responsible for all equipment related to the care of the child, including the cleaning and maintenance of items such as sterilizers, car seats, etc.
  • Provide professional guidance as it pertains to the child, while respecting the family’s personal preferences

  • Educationally focused – interacting and engaging in an age-appropriate manner and keeping the baby developmentally on track while fostering his curiosity and creating the best childhood possible for him

Requirements

  • Must have at least 6 years of professional nanny experience
  • Experience working with children 1 - 5 years old
  • Degree in Early Child education or similar is ideal, but not a deal breaker if you have the passion and focus of a career nanny
  • Can provide love and structure for the child
  • Team player with excellent communication
  • No ego – able to provide recommendations when needed, but also take cues from and respect the family's choices and house rules
  • Must be reliable, dedicated, and have a strong work ethic 
  • Someone who can navigate parents that are home often, both parents work from their home office about 2 days a week
  • Comfortable around the water, and can at least hold their own swimming
  • Valid US drivers license, family car can be provided if needed
  • Infant/child CPR and First-Aid certified, or willing to certify 
  • Ok with signing an NDA
  • Comfortable with internal and outside cameras in home
  • Legal to work in the US

Salary and Benefits

  • Hourly rate is $40+, based on experience
  • 2-weeks vacation, 5 sick days, and holidays
