Job Locations US-NY-Brooklyn
A lovely family of five in Brooklyn Heights is seeking a full-time nanny. The general schedule for this position will be Monday through Friday with two days per week on a schedule of 8am-6pm and 3 days per week a schedule of 11am-6pm, with flexibility for a date night once per week (about 41-45 hours total). The family has three children- ages 8, 5, and 2-years-old. Most childcare will take place in the afternoons, as the two older children go to school in Manhattan during the day and their dad drops them off almost every day. The youngest attends a 2's program three mornings per week within walking distance from the home. The other two days, the 2-year-old will be home all day. He will begin attending a morning program 5 days per week in Fall of 2022. Childcare duties will include picking up the children from school (and occasionally dropping them off in coordination with the parents). The toddler will need to be picked up around 11:15, fed lunch, and put down for his nap (typically 2 hours long). The older children will need pick-up later in the afternoon, so the nanny must be comfortable with all three children on the subway. The nanny would then handle after-school activities and dinnertime.  The role will also include some light housekeeping, including tasks like children's laundry, occasional errands, and some basic meal preparation. The family would like to find someone to be with them long-term. The parents are active and engaged even while working outside the home, so they want someone with strong communication skills and plenty of experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will be warm and engaging. They need a nanny who's in command with the children, who can remain calm amid the inevitable chaos, and who can gently and consistently enforce limits. The household is a Brooklyn brownstone with three flights of stairs, so you will need to have the endurance to manage that each day. Someone who could travel very occasionally with the family would be nice to have (about ten days per year maximum with plenty of notice, usually during the Summers). A COVID vaccine is required. If you would like to be considered for this position and are legal to work in the US, apply to EB203.

A family in Palm Beach is seeking a full-time chef to add to their team.  This would be a rotational schedule of two weeks on/off.  If you are local to Palm Beach, it is a live-out role- if not, it can be a live-in role while you are on rotation and when off, the family will provide a flight home for you if need be.  When returning, if traveled during time off, the family will have the chef quarantine for 5 days, with accommodations provided.  The chef would be cooking breakfast, lunch, and dinner, usually healthy meals, daily for the principals.  The most important character trait is flexibility.  While the family does not travel a lot, they do go back to their CT home from time to time.  So if it is during the two weeks you are working, you would be asked to travel to CT with them.    This is a full-time position rotating with another chef – the exact schedule will be discussed with the candidate. The family does NOT do a lot of entertaining, so it’s typically cooking healthy meals (not a lot of salt, butter, oil, etc.) for the family. The successful chef will be flexible to cook various types of cuisines. Looking for someone who is flexible, a hard worker, and accustomed to serving several items/multi courses for each meal.
