A family in San Francisco, CA is seeking a temporary travel nanny for their 3 young children. The family is going to Tuscany, Italy with extended family September 14th through September 20th. The children are 6, 3, and 1-years-old.
It is ideal if the candidate to hire lives in the Bay Area and can depart together with the family at the airport on the 14th. However, they are also open to the nanny meeting them in Italy on the 14th, but the preference is that the nanny can join them on the flight to help with the children. The projected schedule will be something along the lines of helping in the evening of the 14th upon arrival in Tuscany, beginning the 15th through Friday the 20th helping from morning to evening; some of those days it will entail helping late into the evening perhaps to around midnight (the children will be in bed). When a late night is to happen, the candidate to hire will have a break earlier in the day. Generally, the hours will be 10am until the children are in bed.
The candidate to hire should have experience as a travel nanny, is confident with and experienced in caring for multiple young children at once, and has energy and patience. It is a desired bonus that the candidate to hire speaks English and Italian or English and Spanish, or all 3 languages. The children attend an Italian-immersion school, and the family speaks conversational Spanish. The candidate to hire should be comfortable and excited to play with the children; the eldest child loves to be engaged, play games, do puzzles, art projects, sports; the middle child has typical toddler energy and likes to run around and play in the pool. Being a proficient swimmer is a bonus, but not a requirement. There will be a pool on property but due to there being other family members around there can be others in the pool/pool area with the children as well. Playing, engaging, meal prepping (not a lot; maybe 1x/day or every other day), and diaper changing the youngest child are some of the job duties for this role.
The accommodations for the nanny include their own bedroom in the villa. The candidate to hire will have her flight and food provided for. The hourly rate for this role is $45-55 depending on experiences, qualifications, and languages spoken.
It is a desired bonus if the candidate to hire is also interested in and available to travel with the family to Martha's Vineyard from July 13th through August 4th. The nanny would have their own bedroom in the family's home but a willingness to occasionally sleep in the bunk room with the children would be a plus as they may host other house-guests during their stay. The nanny would have access to the family's car and would be responsible for taking care of the 2 younger children Monday through Friday, 8am-3pm, while the eldest child is in day camp, and then the nanny would watch all 3 children until 5pm. The family would like the nanny to help prepare lunches Monday through Friday and also feeding the children dinner and overseeing the bedtime routine 2 evenings per week. They would like the nanny to help with 1 or 2 kids at a time for 6 hours Saturday or Sunday. Light household help would involve tidying as it relates to children and the children's laundry.
You must be legal to work in the US and have a US Passport, Green card, or EAC to apply for this role. You must be Trustline Certified. If you are interested in this position, please apply to HN220.
