Job Locations US-NY-Upper East Side
A lovely couple on the Upper East Side are looking for a full-time, live-out housekeeper for their 5-story townhouse. The schedule would be Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm. The couple have been in the home for 40 years; their current housekeeper has been there for the last 10 years and the housekeeper prior was with them for 27 years, so they are great, long-term employers. The current housekeeper is retiring and will be transitioning out in January 2022. The ideal start date would be ASAP.    The 5-story home is a historic building and does not have an elevator, so you must be comfortable with going up and down lots of stairs daily. The main responsibilities will be cleaning of the home, laundry for the couple, ironing, managing inventory for the home, running errands, cooking occasionally for the couple, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping all floors, deep cleaning, formal table setting, maintaining organization in the home, and grocery shopping for the home. There are no other staff in the home; the couple have always had one housekeeper for the home and found that to be sufficient. The ideal candidate will be attentive to detail, organized, and energetic. If you are interested and are legal to work in the US, please apply to GM431.

Seeking a full-time, Italian-speaking, educated live-in nanny for a family who are moving from New York to Ibiza in May/June 2022.  The schedule will be Monday through Friday from approximately 7am - 8pm with a degree of flexibility preferred to cover for date nights, occasional weekend work and travel.  Expect to work 6 days per week when travelling.   After the morning routine of helping the 3-year-old boy up and getting him ready for school, your focus will be on the household and with keeping on top of all child-related tasks.  These may include, but are not limited to, errands, tidying his areas, doing his laundry and ironing, menu planning, grocery shopping, organising fun after-school activities and play dates, preparing snacks and tea for his return from school, and preparing a healthy, nutritious and well-balanced evening meal for the him and occasionally for the whole family.  You will do the school pick up and will be responsible for him until his bedtime.  The family would love to welcome a brother or sister for their son, so experience of newborns and infants would be a bonus.    The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of relevant experience, can really focus on the development of the child and has knowledge of behavioural and developmental milestones.  You are organised, down to Earth, loving and caring; the family value gentle parenting and no shouting, and the household remains respectful at all times.  You only need to be told something once and you demonstrate initiative and sound judgement - Mum is looking for a bright, positive and intelligent nanny who can become a member of the family and be her right hand person.  You will be working alongside other staff, so you must be a team-player and be happy to step in wherever necessary, the family are not interested in someone who takes a narrow view of their role and who isn’t prepared to lend a hand and to take on whatever needs doing.  Please also have a great sense of fun, be active and energetic, and a confident swimmer and driver.  You must be a native Italian speaker with excellent English, and knowledge of Spanish would be helpful.  You will have your own bedroom and bathroom.   There will be regular travel to the US (at least twice a year, COVID allowing), to South America (once per year) and possibly around Europe and to the UK.  A European passport/visa is essential.   If you are interested in the role, have an EU visa or passport and are vaccinated against COVID, please apply to ZI098.

An energetic and fun family of three is seeking a full-time live-in nanny for their 13-month-old daughter. The role will guarantee pay of 40 hours per week, and will have a schedule of about 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday. There will be some flexibility needed during parts of the year because of the nature of a parent's job. There is a major travel component of this role, as the family's situation is atypical and they split time between three locations. The most long-term residence is near Minneapolis, MN where the family spends 7 months of the year (usually April through October). The family then spends October through February in southern Alabama in a second residence. Finally, in February and March, they spend 7 weeks in Florida.  The job responsibilities will include the care of their daughter and the general organization of her day-to-day. Someone who can help keep her life running smoothly despite the moving of homes will be a must-have. The household is energetic and fun, so the nanny will need to have a strong sense of professionalism balanced with a positive and upbeat attitude. The nanny will be expected to keep their daughter engaged and active, both physically and developmentally. They are looking for someone who can work with them on a team to maintain structure and stability for their daughter. Job responsibilities will also include light housekeeping and laundry related to the baby as well as light meal prep. The family has a housekeeper in each home, so no major deep cleaning will ever be included. They are respectful employers who want to find a long-term fit to grow with their family - someone with a keen sense of discretion will be a great fit. In two of the homes, the nanny would live in the main house with the family and have a private bedroom and bathroom. In one of the homes (Alabama), there will be a separate guest cottage for the nanny. A passport is required for the role, as the family travels internationally on top of their consistent domestic travel. The family has a small dog. Confident swimming skills and a valid driver's license are required (a car can be provided by the family). If you are interested and legal to work in the US, apply to EB198.
