A lively and sweet family of five in Greenwich Village is seeking a full-time nanny/family assistant for their three school-aged children. The schedule would be Monday through Thursday, typically 10:00am to 8:00pm. They are flexible on start time as all the children are in school but will always need availability during the evening hours. The family spends Summers in the Hamptons, so you would stay overnight Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday during those months. You should be available to join some family vacations with advance notice.

Job responsibilities include handling pick-up of at least one (sometimes two) children, driving to and from after-school activities/sports in their car, helping with homework and managing dinner, and getting the children ready through evening routines with the parents. The family assistant responsibilities (generally to be completed in the few hours pre-school/camp pickup, or during commutes to/from the Hamptons in the summer) include things like personal administrative or house management tasks for the parents, grocery shopping and errands, and keeping the children's and family's lives organized.

The family is looking for someone energetic and proactive with a positive attitude. One parent stays home, so the nanny/family assistant will collaborate with them to manage the children’s needs. This position also involves some overlap with a housekeeper and weekend nanny, so collaboration is a vital skill in the role. Swimming skills are helpful and a valid driver's license is a must.
