Job Locations US-NY-Upper West Side
A lovely family on the Upper West Side of NYC is seeking a nighttime NCS for their baby due at the end of July. The contracted term will be 4 months (through late November/early December) and the work schedule will be 12 hours per night, 7 days per week. The family plans to travel to their home in the Hamptons from early August to Labor Day (about 1 month) and then on weekends from September-December, so the NCS would live-in during that month and on weekends thereafter but would still not work any daytime hours. In the Hamptons, the NCS will have their own room to rest in and retreat to, and meals will be provided during those days. When in NYC, the position is live-out.  This is the family's second baby, and mom will be on maternity leave during the length of the contract. They plan to feed on demand (breastfeeding and pumping) and do not want to purposefully stretch the hours between feeds overnight. The ideal candidate is confident but can defer to the parents' preferences, knows when to jump in and out of family time, and is comfortable keeping to themselves during the non-working daytimes in Long Island. They'll expect the NCS to minimize perfumes and any makeup/nail polish, as they are sensitive to these things. The hourly rate range offered is $35-$40 per hour and the pay is fully on the books. If you're interested and legal to work in the US, apply to EB514.

A kind couple with one friendly dog (large Pomeranian) and a sweet cat is offering a unique opportunity for a motivated domestic couple. Their Malibu, CA residence includes a home (3,600 sq. ft.) on a 15,800 sq. ft. lot with lush landscaping, citrus trees, rose garden (experience with local vegetation is helpful but not mandatory), and pool (maintenance training will be provided). The projected schedule is Monday through Friday, 10am-6pm (flexible), for a total of 40 hours per week. The principals do ask for flexibility to work on weekends on occasion and will swap time off during the week for any weekend day(s) worked. Additionally, there may be times to care for the pets for extended periods of time or when the principals are traveling; so being flexible to be “on duty” is necessary overall. Pet lovers are encouraged to apply!   This role will be unique initially in that the residence is undergoing remodeling/renovations. The candidates to hire will reside in a beach condo with ocean view that is located within a short drive of the residence. While the remodeling/renovations are underway, the couple will move into the residence and oversee the work being done while the principals will stay in the condo with their pets. At the start of the role there will be a need for detailed deep-cleaning of the off-site condo as well as decluttering, unpacking, and organization of contents of moving boxes in the main residence as well as ultimately detailed deep-cleaning before the principals move back in.   The job duties include housekeeping, laundry, ironing, organizing, assisting with consolidating/donating home items, meal planning/cooking (usually dinner but not every evening, breakfast/lunch is flexible; but cooking as a priority may be further down the line and not an immediate need), landscaping, pool maintenance, overseeing vendors, pet care, running errands, assisting with light entertaining the principals may conduct, and driving the principals on an occasional basis.   This is a residence being established so evolving into this role as it develops is needed; being helpful, flexible, detail-oriented team-players are characteristics sought for this role. For the cooking component, the principals eat organic and a primarily plant-based Mediterranean diet, so experience cooking Greek or Italian would be wonderful. Additionally, it would be a bonus if the candidates to hire have any dog handling/training experience. Personalities that are willing to accommodate an initially skittish/timid cat are important for this role as well as being mindful of her staying indoors. Again, pet lovers are encouraged to apply as this role will be just as much about a fit with the wonderful principals as much as it is for the sweet pets.   Salary is $120k+ and housing is provided. Benefits include two weeks’ vacation, major holidays off, an HRA, and employer contributions to a 401k.   Only non-smoking US citizens or (unconditional) Green card holders fluent in English will be considered for this role.
