A lovely family of four, primarily based outside of Boston, MA, with another home in Palm Beach, FL, is looking for an exceptional, career nanny to work a live-in rotational schedule of 2-weeks-on and 2-weeks-off. Prior rotational schedule experience is required. This position is fast-paced, so the ideal candidate must be energetic, forward thinking (two steps ahead), and self-starting. The family also loves to have fun, so they are looking for someone who is extroverted, silly, and sweet (but can also be professional and polished when appropriate). Private living accommodations will be provided at each of the family's homes, with a separate bedroom and en-suite bathroom. You will be on-call 24/7 during the 2-weeks-on and have the baby monitors overnight. The family will provide transportation to and from their homes, so the nanny will preferably be based on the East coast and be able to drive or be near an airport.
The family has an outgoing and curious toddler and an adorable 8-month-old infant. Both parents primarily work from home and love being hands on when present. Part of your role is to take care of small tasks so the household runs smoothly and the parents can spend quality time with their children, like running the dishwasher, taking the dog out and tidying up after the children. Your main responsibility is the care and wellbeing of the children, including but not limited to, getting the children dressed and ready for their day, keeping track of their schedules and appointments, monitoring and fostering developmental milestones, engaging with their interests, taking them to classes and activities, taking the children outside often, limiting screen time, and preparing meals for the children. Prior travel experience is a plus, as the family travels often both domestically and internationally. You must be comfortable working on a team with the parents, nanny and other domestic staff.
The ideal candidate will be positive, engaging, and intelligent. You must be comfortable pulling up your sleeves on travel days to carry luggage and install car seats - this can be a physically demanding job. Prior experience traveling privately with a family is a plus. You must also be able to drive, swim, and travel internationally for this role.
