The family includes the mother, father, and 2-year old girl. Hours will ideally be Monday through Friday, 8/8:30am - 12/12:30pm. Job Locations US-CA-Santa Barbara
A wonderful 2-dad family based in Santa Barbara is searching for an exceptional full-time, live-out, education-focused nanny/family assistant for their 6-month-old daughter and 2.5-year-old son. The typical schedule will be Monday through Friday from 8am-5.30pm; however, you should be flexible to start earlier/stay later, as needed. You should be comfortable working 45-50 hours, but they do have local babysitters for evenings/weekends as back up.   Duties will include all things child-related; preparing bottles and meals for the children, managing schedules, assisting with bathing, planning age appropriate activities, reading, listening to music and dancing, getting the kids outdoors, coordinating play-dates, and driving them to school and activities. Their son is in pre-school for a few hours each day, so during that time you will be on baby duty and handling other household tasks, including managing household vendors, communicating with other staff (housekeeper, personal assistant and gardener), and keeping a running inventory of household/baby items so they never run out. They have a housekeeper to handle deep cleaning, but you will be responsible for the children’s laundry, daily dishes after the kids meals, cleaning up after meals (messy high chairs etc.), general tidying, making sure the children’s rooms and play areas are tidy, and ensuring the kitchen is spotless at the end of each day. Grandma lives nearby and likes to take the kids once a week, so during that time you will be able to tackle the weekly grocery shopping, run any errands, and manage organizational projects.   They are looking for a candidate who will work with them as a partner in parenting, who can provide educational value, and help keep them organized. Both parents work off-site in a private office and are looking for a nanny who can take sole charge when on duty. Candidates should have strong infant and toddler experience, enjoy being active, and be a naturally patient, positive, cheerful, and easygoing individual. The ideal candidate is bilingual (Spanish or Portuguese preferred, but not essential), has a strong working knowledge of ages and stages, and is very educationally focused– preschool teachers are very welcome to apply.   They have an elderly cat and are hoping to get a dog in the coming years, so please be pet friendly and allergy free. This is a very kind and generous family and they are looking to hire someone who can grow with them for years to come. The family does enjoy travel and would love to bring their nanny with them, so please be both adventurous and passport ready. Only those candidates who are fully COVID vaccinated, and up to date on their TDap vaccine (with a willingness to get future boosters and an annual flu shot) will be considered. A generous compensation package is available to the successful candidate, and the family will also assist with relocation. If you are interested, with a US passport, Green Card or EAC, please apply to KP338.

A lovely family currently planning their return to LA from the UK seek two exceptional live-in ROTA nannies to join them from July/August on-wards.  The schedule will be 24/7, two weeks on, two weeks off and the family would prefer candidates local to the area.     Duties will include everything and anything pertaining to two children, aged 4 and 1.  While parents may be around, assume that this is mainly a sole charge role.  You will be responsible for getting the children up, fed and ready for the day, for school-drop offs and pick-ups, for all activities, general nursery duties including the children's laundry and keeping their areas clean and tidy, and for making sure all the children's physical, emotional and well-being needs are met.  This includes preparing fresh, nutritious meals and batch-cooking to stock the freezer.   The ideal candidates are extremely experienced, have an intuitive understanding of children, are aware of developmental milestones and are active, fun and great communicators.  A knack for engaging with curious, intelligent children is desirable, the older child is bright, energetic and always on the go and will expect you to keep up!  The children have limited access to screens so please have a love of the outdoors, be great at organising activities, play-dates and outings and be prepared to join in with some tree climbing, swimming or music making!  While you will be expected to help keep nursery and communal areas organised, there will be a full-time housekeeper to do the majority of the cleaning and tidying.  However the family would appreciate a 'no task is too small' mentality, particularly as the first few months will likely be in rented accommodation and there may be some packing/unpacking and general organising to get on with.  The children are in a fantastic routine that works for the whole family, you must be comfortable to sticking with the schedule but confident enough to suggest tweaks if required.  A driver is essential.   If you are interested in the role, are COVID vaccinated and are legal to work in the US, please apply to ZI119.

A busy and joyful family in Woodside, CA is seeking a full-time education-minded nanny to care for their two sons, ages 10 and 4. The schedule will generally be about 7:00am to 7:00pm, but flexibility will often be needed for overnights or additional hours when one or both parents are traveling. They would also love to find someone who is available for both international and domestic travel to places like the UK, Montana, and Rhode Island. They both attend school all day and partake in extra curricular activities. A typical day will include getting the children fed breakfast and prepared for the day and then driving them both to school  (the older one by 8am and the younger by 8:30). Three days per week, the younger child attends and afternoon program at a different location, so he is picked up, fed lunch, and brought to that school. The older child has various after school activities that he'll need to be prepared for and supervised at, so the position requires someone who thinks proactively, stays organized, and who feels comfortable spending a large part of the day driving.
