Overview

A lovely family is looking for a long-term, full-time, live-out, executive housekeeper, for their home in the West Village of NYC. The role starts as soon as possible. Relocation is not being offered. Local candidates only. The family does include young children but there are full-time nannies already in place. This role will work alongside a full-time houseman and part-time laundress. The general schedule will be 5 days per week, 9am-5pm with flexibility to stay later to help with occasional dinners or parties. The family is open on which days the housekeeper works as long as they are consistent. No travel will be required. 

Responsibilities

  • All aspects of housekeeping for the 5 level townhouse. Please note there is no elevator 
  • Deep cleaning on a schedule
  • Daily tidying and organization- maintain current organizational systems and establish new ones as needed 
  • Packing and unpacking the principals for travel if needed 
  • Working together with a houseman and laundress

Qualifications

  • Experience and training in cleaning high-end fixtures, furniture, and clothing. Special French-polished ebony, real wood floors, crystal, silver, high-end furniture, etc. 
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and know how to maneuver around a formal home
  • Dedicated, loyal, and trustworthy
  • Being tech savvy is a bonus

Requirements

  • Must have several years experience in a high-net worth, formal private residence
  • Experience with dinner parties, helping to serve, and be professional with guests 
  • Comfortable working in a busy home with young children and dogs
  • US work authorization 

Salary and Benefits

  • $40-65 per hour depending on experience and training 
  • Full benefits including health insurance
