A seasoned housekeeper is sought for a formal, high-end home in NYC, to start ASAP. The schedule will typically be Monday through Friday, and the role will primarily be based out of NYC, though will require domestic/international travel for 1-3 months at a time during the year (in order to accompany the principals at their other residences).   Responsibilities will include, though are not limited to; housekeeping, deep cleaning, and interior care of homes; laundering of clothes and linens; pressing/steaming as needed; procuring household supplies and maintaining an inventory of consumable goods, including food and fresh goods; shopping and errands, as needed; daily interior checks of homes to evaluate physical condition of establishments, appliances and other household items, and submitting to management a list of needs and repairs; ensuring HVAC, audiovisual systems, lighting and all house systems are functioning properly, and keep records of filter changes and maintenance schedules; receiving and setting up new items for the homes; accompanying teenage children on activities; occasional babysitting and dog sitting, and more.   Candidates must be conscientious and considerate team-players, have a calm and focused disposition with self-starting tendencies, as well as understand the importance of utilizing discretion and confidentiality in the workplace. A very nice family is looking for a full-time, live-out nanny in Greenwich, Connecticut. The role starts immediately. The nanny must be local to the area, as the family is not offering relocation. The family includes the mother, father, 4-year-old girl, and 11-month-old girl. They have one goldendoodle dog. Other staff includes an au pair (there through September 2023), and a full-time housekeeper. This person must have experience as a nanny in a private home and this person must have experience caring for two children under 4-years of age. The nanny will mostly be caring for one child at a time, being a team-player with the mother. Job duties include, but are not limited to, providing loving care for both children, looking after the children’s needs, welfare, development, and health and safety, this includes bathing and dressing children to maintain a tidy appearance, preparing healthy and fresh meals for the children two times a day and one snack, encouraging development in skills such as reading, writing, arithmetic, drawing, music, dressing, telling the time, etc., making sure the children spend time outdoors and doing physical activities, taking the children to and from school, activities, play-dates, etc. when needed, and arranging and hosting play-dates with neighbors and schoolmates. The nanny will have light housekeeping duties including helping the children clean up after themselves and for cleaning any messes made while cooking, eating, or playing around the house. Please make sure that all wipes, diapers, creams, trash bags, etc. are refilled and notify family of any low stock items at the end of every day. Please make sure all children's items have been returned to their rooms or playroom and that those spaces are reasonably straightened up, change diaper pail trash at the end of every day, wipe down the play surfaces with wipes every other day, wipe down toys/books weekly or as needed, place all pillows and throw blankets on the family room sofa and tidy the family room/kitchen area throughout the day, check the food cabinet to make sure water bottle shelf is fully stocked every day, make sure that the main water dispenser has a full bottle, check the level of resources for baby (water, diapers, creams, snacks, etc.) every Friday and leave a shopping list. You will also be responsible for doing the kids’ laundry, ironing, and cleaning related to maintaining the nursery and playroom. The nanny will also serve the dog a bowl of food in the evening when the children have their dinner, and let the dog out into the yard throughout the day when he needs to use the restroom. To be successful in this role, the nanny must be emotionally stable and balanced- someone they can trust to make good decisions for their children, be honest, be warm, have a friendly demeanor with a cooperative attitude and a low stress personality, be respectful of the parents and their decisions- willing to follow instructions, and not make any changes to childcare or routine without discussing with parents. This person must also be neat and have a tidy appearance. The nanny must be a team-player and friendly, warm, and highly-skilled with infants. The family is laid back but also clean and orderly, so someone who can support that in a stress-free manner is great. Regarding travel, there will be travel an average of one weekend per month, plus one 10-day stretch between October through April, and a 10-day vacation in the summer. The family has a home in Palm Beach, FL which is the location of most winter travel. The family does spend one month every summer in the Hamptons, and the nanny can either stay for the month or go back and forth each weekend. When at the Hamptons or in their Palm Beach homes, the nanny will have their own bedroom. There will be minimum international travel. Hours will ideally be Monday through Friday, 10:30am-7:30pm, with flexibility to stay late occasionally and some flexibility for occasional weekend work. This position requires the candidate (and if applicable, their family) live on an adjacent 6-acre property in a 2 bedroom/2.5 bathroom home provided by the principals. A busy family who split their time between Connecticut in the US and Reykjavik, Iceland are looking for a fantastic, responsible, and dedicated live-in nanny.  The family would appreciate weekend coverage, so an approximate schedule could be Saturday through Wednesday, but flexibility would be appreciated to allow for some babysitting as well. This is a live-in position and you will be the supervising adult when the parents go out in the evenings.    Duties will include all care for the three children, aged 12, 12, and 10, including maintaining their safety at all times, feeding them, keeping them organized and cleaning up after them, making sure they behave, transporting them where they need to go, helping them with their personal hygiene, and putting them to bed. The schedule for this position is generally Monday through Friday with flexibility on hours worked and weekend availability.
