A family of 5 are seeking a full-time chef to start ASAP. The schedule will be split between their homes on the Upper East Side and Litchfield County, CT and will likely be a mix of live-in and live-out, depending on the season, the family's needs, and the candidate's location.   During the academic year (September-June), candidates will be expected to work 4 days per week- Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, with Friday, Monday and Tuesday off. Wednesday and Thursday will be in the city, and Saturday and Sunday will be in CT. During the Summer (June-September), the role will be based entirely in CT, and will be 5 days per week, Tuesday through Saturday, with Sunday and Monday off. On weekdays during the academic year, the schedule will be 2pm-8pm (the children are typically home from school by 3.30pm). On weekends and during the summer months, the hours will likely be longer, from 12noon-8pm. These hours do not include grocery shopping. The family will provide advanced notice if they are entertaining/traveling.    At all times, the family will require a mix of lunch and dinner for 2 adults and 3 children, as well as breakfast items and healthy snacks that can be pre-prepped and refrigerated. Lunch options for the parents can also just be simple grab-and-go items at times (e.g. hummus or salmon fillet) and the children will only require snacks and dinner on weekdays during the academic year as they eat lunch at school.    The family try to eat organic as much as possible, and their focus is healthy with lots of vegetables and limited red meat. One of the children has a peanut allergy, but there are no other dietary restrictions/allergies to consider. The family are renovating their guest house in CT and this will be available for the candidate's use from January 2023, for those candidates who require it. The schedule for this position will be full-time and weekends are generally required, although they are flexible for the right team. The family's main home is a townhouse on the Upper East Side. A busy family based out of NYC is seeking a chef to travel with them between their homes in NYC, Montana, and Michigan.  The family is seeking a NYC-based chef who is flexible to travel with them as needed to their additional properties in Michigan and other states.  The position would be split between homes;  January through mid-March in Montana, mid-March through to the beginning of June the chef is not required to work, June through August in Michigan, and September through December in NYC. They have full-time housekeeper/nanny already who the candidate to hire will evenly split responsibilities with. The duties include cleaning/tidying (main focus on the kitchen), family laundry, light cooking (children's dinners - mainly for the toddler at this point), maybe taking the 3-year-old to a class or the park, and babysitting 2 evenings per week which would involve staying until about 9pm (the candidate-to-hire can come in later to work the next day around noon). There are no pets in the home.    The right fit for this role loves children, is very communicative, can speak up for herself (understands her own healthy boundaries - the family respects their staff), and wants to be welcomed into a healthy work environment. The fit for this role should also be available to travel - the family travels approximately 4 times a year to places such as Mexico, Costa Rico, and Colorado.
