Overview

A warm, welcoming, and very discreet Richmond-based family seeks a full-time, live-out housekeeper/mother's help.  The role is likely to start July 2025.  The principals are keen to find a really flexible candidate and the schedule is likely to vary depending on the needs of the family.

Responsibilities

The family envisage at least 2 full days of cleaning per week (possibly a Monday and Thursday?) with ad-hoc requests for help on the other days, depending on the needs of the family.  The family really value their privacy and so when jobs are done, they are happy for the candidate to head home irrespective of whether they have worked a full day or not.  They are offering a full-time salary to guarantee flexibility and availability (and please assume that hours will be more during school holidays and half terms).  Responsibilities will include:

  • All cleaning for the 6-bedroom,  home to include vacuuming, mopping, dusting, wiping down surfaces etc
  • Regular deep cleaning
  • Laundry and ironing for the household
  • Regular changing of bedlinen, towels etc
  • Helping with two girls aged 3yrs and 5yrs
  • Occasional babysitting
  • Helping with the evening meal and bath-time routine when needed
  • Some meal prep
  • Errands (dry cleaning, some grocery shopping)
  • Occasional school runs
  • Taking the children on outings and adventures during school breaks
  • Occasional weekend help and/or travel

Requirements

Candidates should be:

  • Native Spanish speakers, or completely fluent, OR Portuguese-speaking
  • Warm, positive, and friendly with a considerate approach and a pitch-in mentality
  • Discreet
  • Flexible and accommodating
  • Brilliant at seeing what needs doing and at tag-teaming with the parents
  • Fit and active, able to cope with several storeys, and with active children!
