A private family in East Hampton is seeking a top-tier house manager with a background in hospitality. The general schedule for this position will be five days per week, and may include some weekends and evenings as needed. The family also has a home in NYC and there may be occasional travel to the secondary property while the family is in residence.    Job duties for this role include day-to-day management of the home, including scheduling and supervising a team of housekeepers, overseeing vendors, managing some aspects of travel including packing and unpacking, and generally keeping the home running smoothly through daily walk-throughs and inspections. A busy and lively family of four is seeking a live-out estate manager for their Riverside, CT residence. The schedule for this position is generally Monday through Friday, 8am-4pm, with flexibility. The family is very respectful of their team’s time, but the candidate should have a 24/7 mentality. Duties for this position encompass everything related to the main residence including scheduling and overseeing renovations, building projects, maintenance and vendors, supervising household staff, and handling various household projects such as renovations and landscaping. Other duties include overseeing invoices, house/staff manuals, shopping for groceries and other household items, running errands, sorting mail and accepting packages and deliveries, processing and shipping returns, working with the housekeeper to pack and unpack for travel, keeping up with car maintenance, and planning and executing events such as dinners and parties. The family is seeking a candidate who is comfortable stepping in and helping out where needed whether that being changing a light bulb, putting together a child's toy, or walking the ground to make sure sprinkler systems are properly working. The current staff consists of a full-time housekeeper, three nannies, and chef, and this is a cohesive team that works well together. A high-profile family in Michigan is looking for a full-time yacht captain and deckhand.  The yacht is a 64-foot power boat, docked in Michigan, and is used for the short 10-week season in summer around northern Michigan.  This is a 58-year-old historic boat that requires extensive care, so you must appreciate and be passionate about historic boats. The previous owners of the boat had a local couple taking care of the yacht for the last 20 years, they have agreed to stay on until the new owners hire a captain and deckhand. The couple will train the new crew on all the ins and outs of the yacht. Outside of the 10-week summer season, the captain and deck hand would be responsible for boat care and overseeing maintenance.  During the season, the family will mostly want to do cocktail sails around the bay and occasionally day trips to nearby islands. The position will require the captain and deckhand to be on call for the 10-week season. You must be available last minute if the family decides the weather is nice and they'd like to go out/have dinner on the yacht.
