Seeking a full-time governor/family assistant for a private family who split their time between Dubai and Monte Carlo. The usual schedule will be Monday through Saturday, from approximately 7:30am-6:30pm, however flexibility would be appreciated to cover for when the family are entertaining (up to twice per week).  Expect to spend 7-8 months of the year in Dubai and 4-5 months of the year in Monte Carlo, but there will also be regular international travel. Responsibilities will include supporting the 4-year-old child's learning, etiquette, health and well-being while also assisting the family wherever needed. This will include overseeing the day-to-day education of the child, leading fun and educationally stimulating activities, encouraging a love for exercise, developing his knowledge and encouraging his curiosity in the world around him, and generally ensuring a safe and nurturing environment that promotes a confident, independent, and happy child. He will be attending a prestigious school in Dubai and so the governor must have experience with the British curriculum, with preparing children starting school and with supporting their continued growth and development in an intense learning environment. Other duties will include running errands for the principals, driving, shopping, making reservations and generally being available to assist wherever possible. The ideal candidate is educated, active, and discreet, with a consistently positive outlook. The family are looking for a true friend and mentor for their son, someone who can really engage with him at his level and who can support him to be his best. Respect and perfect etiquette are greatly appreciated within the household, so please assume you will be modelling these values on a daily basis and will be responsible for helping to instill them in others. The homes are fully staffed, so candidates must be team-players, be able to work well alongside others but also able to step-up and take the lead when necessary. A confident, safe driver is essential, candidates must also be confident swimmers, and a the ability to speak French would be a bonus. A lovely, busy international family are looking for a top-notch domestic couple to look after their London and, occasionally, their country homes in the UK.  When the family are in residence the couple can expect to work from 8am until 9 or 10pm with a couple of days off per week (not necessarily over the weekend).  When the family are abroad, then the role will revert to a more normal schedule of Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm. The couple will be responsible for all aspects of housekeeping including general cleaning and tidying, deep cleaning, silver cleaning, French polishing, laundry and ironing.  Other duties include, but are not limited to, cooking and serving, general maintenance, running errands, grocery shopping, looking after vehicles and occasional chauffeuring and general butler duties.  This is a busy, hands-on role and would suit an active, engaged couple with a 'muck-in' mentality. The ideal candidates are discreet, flexible, calm, and very capable, with positive, can-do attitudes and excellent references.  The ability to speak Spanish would be a plus.  The family would prefer that if one person specialises in housekeeping, then the other person is comfortable taking on the cooking and meal prep - when the family is around the focus is very much on housekeeping and meals and it will be too much for just one person.  Accommodation is provided in the basement of a newly-built house in Notting Hill.  When the family are in residence, the space will be shared with the children's nanny.   If you are interested in the position and are legal to work in the UK, please apply to ZI056.
