A kind and professional couple in TriBeCa is seeking a top-notch live-out infant nanny for their first child, born in December 2023. Both parents work full-time, so the schedule will ideally be 8:00am to 7:00pm (55 hours per week). Someone with the flexibility to join for occasional short-term travel would be a plus. Job responsibilities include care and engagement of the child, plus education and guidance for the parents, who are new to caring for their baby boy. The family will have a nighttime NCS through mid-January and mom will be on maternity leave through mid-April. The nanny will be expected to manage feeding, sleep, and activity routines for the baby. The right person for the job has extensive infant and toddler experience and can confidently guide the parents through the developmental milestones to come. The nanny will handle light housekeeping related to the baby, like laundry and cleaning bottles. When the time comes, the nanny will lead the process of introducing solids and will be expected to prepare baby's food as he grows. Someone energetic who can take him to classes, parks, and set up playdates will be best in the role. This person should have a joyful energy but be able to read the room if mom and dad have had a long day and need a quiet space. The ideal candidate is reliable, a strong communicator, proactive, and professional. They hope to find someone engaging and passionate about childcare, who isn't on their phone at the parks but rather is taking the opportunity to teach or talk to their child.
