A busy family of six is seeking a five-day live-in housekeeper for their townhouse on the Upper East Side. The schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 7am-6pm. The live-in accommodations are a bedroom and bathroom that are shared with the weekend housekeeper/nanny.   Duties for this role encompass everything related to care of home, including deep cleaning, daily tidying and organization, accepting packages, and laundry.  The family includes four busy elementary/middle-school aged children, so this is a dynamic home with lots of laundry! This role also includes some cooking- the housekeeper will prepare breakfast for the children daily, and will also be responsible for cooking dinner 2-3 times per week for the adults in the home, including parents and nannies. The family is open to all cuisines and the cooking is home-style and casual, but candidates should feel comfortable in the kitchen. Childcare is not part of this role, but this is a team environment and the housekeeper should be willing to assist other staff as necessary. The ideal candidate for this role will be an efficient and detail-oriented self-starter who enjoys working on a solid team.    This is a five-floor townhouse, so candidates should be able to climb stairs throughout the day. They family has a dog as well, and some pet care is required. The family does travel to their second home upstate during the summer months, so the housekeeper must be willing to accompany them and stay there Monday-Friday. A busy family on the Upper East Side is seeking a live-in housekeeper/nanny for their 4 children (14, 12, 9 and 6-years-old). The schedule will be Friday 9am through Sunday 9pm. The candidate can expect to be available 24/7 during this time, though most often the shifts will end at the kids' bedtime. The majority of weekends will be spent upstate on the family’s farm, and a private bed/bath will be provided for the candidate at all locations. This position offers full-time hours over 3 days.  The children will be at school on Friday, so when the candidate arrives they will be responsible for preparing for the weekend, including packing the children's bags and doing any necessary shopping. After school on Friday the candidate will travel out of town with the family, and will return with them on Sunday evening. Job duties will vary for this position- some weekends will be very slow as the parents will have all the children out and about, and some will be very busy. The parents will be around most of the time, so it is important to the family that the candidate have a great attitude and is able to roll with the punches and be willing to wear many hats (preparing meals, tidying up, doing laundry, picking-up and dropping off the children, running errands, searching for the lost blanky, etc). Generally once the kids are in bed, the nanny will be free to rest and "clock out". If the children wake up in the middle of the night, the parents will manage their needs. The candidate is responsible for waking up with the children Saturday and Sunday at 7am. If the parents are out of town, the candidate will be fully responsible for them. Candidates will ideally have initiative, confidence, and a “can-do” attitude. Strong swimming skills and a valid driver's license are required for this role. The family has a dog, so candidates should feel comfortable around dogs and should be willing to assist with pet-care as needed. A warm, kind family in Palo Alto are seeking a part-time nanny for their three girls, aged 6, 4 and nearly 2-years. They are expecting baby number 4 in early October. The schedule will be roughly 24 hours per week spread over 3 days- ideally Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday or Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, but they are flexible to work around the candidate, and if the candidate wants a few more hours they can probably accommodate that as well.   Duties will include helping to prep meals (very simple), school and activity drop-off/pick-up, and generally tag-teaming with mom to ensure everyone is on schedule and that there is an easy and organized flow to the day. There is a housekeeper 4 times per week so candidates will not be required to do any cleaning or laundry, but if she is off sick or on vacation, then a willingness to help in this area would be appreciated.    Candidates should be positive and happy, laid back, and organized, with superlative communication and timekeeping skills. A clean and current driving record is essential, as well as a reliable vehicle to get to and from the family’s home- they will provide a car for use on duty.
