Overview

A warm, loving family based in Dorado, Puerto Rico is seeking an adventurous and educated career nanny for their 3 school-aged children. The family also have 3-month-old twins, but they will not be the nanny’s primary responsibility. The schedule will typically be 5 days per week (that may not always fall on weekdays), from 7am-8pm, with flexibility required to accommodate additional hours/ travel etc. Duties include (though are not limited to) the am and pm routine, school drop-off/pick-up (when school resumes), basic meal prep, managing the children’s laundry (when required - there is also a housekeeper employed), accompanying the children to extra-curricular activities and play-dates, assisting with virtual school, homework and supplementary learning (the children all have grade-appropriate workbooks), and planning fun, educational, and age-appropriate activities to nurture the children’s intellectual, social, and physical development (e.g. card games, board games, reading, arts and crafts etc.).

The family travel to New York and Europe during the Summer months so the candidate must be adaptable to switch up the children’s schedules and keep them active and engaged. Candidates must be proactive, flexible, tech savvy, kind, empathetic, trustworthy, creative, fun and active. A calm energy and positive attitude are also appreciated. It’s essential that candidates be team players, as they will be tag teaming with Mom much of the time. Due to the location, candidates must be strong swimmers, with an appreciation for nature and the outdoors. The family would ideally wish for the nanny to become an integral, valued member of their family unit, and this isn’t a formal household. Spanish or French speaking skills a bonus. A private bedroom and bathroom will be provided, as well as a vehicle for both work and non-work-related travel around the island. The family are also in the process of building a new home, which will have its own gym, and will be finished in the next 6-9 months.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity, and a generous compensation package is being offered to the successful candidate. If you have a clean and current driving license and are legal to work in the US (EAC, Green Card, or US Passport), please apply online to KP181.
