Overview

Active family of six is seeking a live-out Nanny with a teaching background to work in NYC once school starts and possibly  in Teaneck, NJ if remote learning is re-instituted. The schedule will be Sunday-Thursday around 7am-7pm, but you must be flexible.The Nanny will primarily care for 6 year old twins and also assist with a 13 year old boy with special needs and a regular 13 year old. You will be responsible for teaching the child to be organized in their school work, keeping the child up to date on school homework and assignments, preparing the child for tests, and assisting with remote learning if zoom classes resume for the fall. With remote learning, the nanny will need to accompany kids at Zoom classes, make sure they are attentive and keeping up with the school work, including any homework. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: engaging children with educational activities, making sure clothes properly fit, pick up and drop off from school, homework help and taking children to appointments. Cooking healthy nutritious meals if necessary for the kids is a plus. Nanny must be caring and patient and want to be a part of the family. Must have a college degree in Early Childhood Education or Special Education as well as experience working as a teacher. Spanish speaking is a plus. You must have a valid driver's license and be willing to take children to school and pick up after school, as well as take children to therapies, playdates, etc. when necessary. Be able to travel as the family does travel, including internationally so a passport is required. Family has 2 medium size dogs but no dog care is required.
