Overview

Heavily involved work-from-home parents are seeking a full-time nanny/parents helper to care for their one-year-old. They live in Greenpoint, Brooklyn and spend summers out in East Hampton. Currently because of covid they would like a nanny who is willing to live-in but ultimately once covid clears up they would transition this person to living-out, so an easy commute to Greenpoint/Williamsburg is ideal. They would prefer a nanny who could work a flexible schedule to go along with their ever-changing work schedules- generally you can expect to be working about 50-55 hours per week. They are looking for a nanny who is comfortable with their regular participation and who not only pro-actively seeks to support both the safety, happiness, and development of the baby but also of the parents time caring for him. The parents love enriching activities from playing musical instruments, working on reading, language skills, numbers, and counting, and enjoy outdoor walks, building, crafts, and more. Key values include friendliness, positivity, optimism, thoughtfulness, self-awareness, and self-assuredness. They would prefer a nanny who can help them rear their son with positive reinforcement, appropriate patience, and confidence when needed to control behavior with focus on learning and developing effective decision-making parameters. They would love a long-term lasting relationship with a loving natured teammate who takes pride in childcare and all-around household helpfulness. You must be comfortable with a cat in the home as they consider him 'one of the children'. If you are legal to work in the US and are available to start relatively soon, please apply online to KM408.
