First-time working parents on the UES are seeking a live-out career nanny for their 6 month-old baby girl. There is currently a newborn care specialist on board who will hand over all care to the nanny. The schedule will typically be 55 hours per week, from 7am-6:45pm on Monday, 7:45am-6:45pm on Tuesday through Thursday, and 7:45am-6pm on Friday. Flexibility to work later/stay overnight with advance notice (and additional compensation, of course) is required. Duties will include (though are not limited to) her laundry, tidying up her room and play spaces, making baby food from scratch, managing bath time, and generally fostering a caring, stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment. Candidates must be seasoned (15+ years' experience) and be physically fit enough to both keep up with their little girl as she grows and becomes more active, as well as navigate the city by foot and, if needed, handle a car seat, folding the stroller, etc. Someone who is proactive and an active partner to mom and dad in raising their daughter is ideal, as is having extensive experience of working with infants in NYC (familiarity with the UES preferable). The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be developmentally minded - i.e. be aware of developmental milestones, encourage continued development, and engage with their daughter accordingly. The family are seeking a long-term commitment and are hoping to grow their family, so experience of multiples a plus. Exceptional and long-term references a must. If you are interested and legal to work in the US, please apply online to KP119.
