A loving family located on the Upper West Side is seeking a full-time nanny to assist in their home and help care for their children. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7am through 6pm with flexibility to start at 8am two days a week. The family has a 6-month-old baby and a sweet 5-year-old who is non-verbal with autism. The mom will be at home during the day assisting if needed, and the older child goes to school until 2:45pm. Responsibilities include getting the children up in the morning, feeding them, and helping the son get ready for school (the mom takes him), spending the day with the baby engaging in activities and developmental exercises, taking the baby to and from any classes, helping to organize and tidy up the home, and occasionally running errands if the mom is with the baby during the day. Since the mom is in and out of the home all day, you must be able to work with her and communicate openly to make a good team. The nanny will mostly care for just one child at a time, but there may be instances that you have both children. The ideal candidate will be kind, calm, flexible, and autonomous. The family would love someone who is flexible to stay late a few times per month if needed. Experience with special needs or non-verbal children is a plus, but not a deal breaker. If you are interested in this position and are legal to work in the US, please apply online to MC111.
