New Parents to be in downtown NYC are looking for someone who can help guide them through the first few months of parenthood. Both parents will be home and very hands on with their new little one, but would like someone who can help during this exciting and exhausting time. Ideally, they would like someone who can come three days a week for 8-12 hours a day (depending on the candidate's preference). They would prefer spreading these days out throughout the week (something like Monday, Wednesday, Saturday), but they don't have specific days they need. This is a easy going, creative, and loving home, so they are looking for someone with more of that mentality than a super strict, uptight, or set in their way candidate. Besides teaching and helping them with the newborn, they would love to have someone who is equally comfortable assisting mom during this time. Responsibilities may include throwing in some laundry, prepping simple food for the mom, helping to set up and clean the breast pump, etc. There is no heavy cleaning involved, but someone who has a good attitude and is willing to help out in whatever ways are most useful during these first few weeks would be greatly appreciated. The baby is due before the end of January, so they would like to interview and hopefully get something locked in asap. If you have postpartum doula training or extensive baby nurse experience and are legal to work in the US, please apply online to AM217.
