A busy family is looking for a Russian-speaking housekeeper for a large apartment on the Upper East Side. The apartment is 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 10 or 11am-6 or 7pm. The candidate must be flexible to work an occasional weekend day, with overtime compensation. The home employs other staff members that speak both English and Russian, so the candidate must be able to communicate in both languages (BOQ). They are looking for someone with several years of experience as a housekeeper for families with children in a large home. Duties will include deep cleaning, organizing of closets and bedrooms, laundry, and ironing. The candidate will occasionally be asked to help with some basic cooking. There will be another housekeeper under their supervision, so the job is part cleaning and part overseeing the other housekeeper. The candidate must be tech savvy, as part of the job will be to order groceries and home items electronically each week. There are children in the home, but the housekeeper will not be required to look after the children. The family is looking for someone with a positive, proactive attitude who will anticipate the needs of the family without being asked or told what to do. The family travels for the summer, so the duties will be much simpler in the summer as the housekeeper will just need to maintain the apartment. If you are interested in the position and hold a US passport, Greencard or EAC card, please apply online to MK004.
