A loving family is seeking a temporary nanny to spend the summer with them in the Hamptons. The position will ideally start the second week of June (though they can accommodate an earlier start date) and will run through until August 25th. As mentioned, this will be a live-in position and you will be expected to arrive at their home on Sunday evening and leave on Friday evening. Responsibilities will include all care for two school-aged children- taking them to camp and picking them up, preparing lunches and dinners for the children, running errands, keeping them entertained, light housekeeping pertaining to the children, and making sure they're having a fun summer. Mom and dad do have some trips planned so you absolutely must be comfortable staying with the children without any parental supervision for several days at a time. The grandparents have a house nearby and they may pop in from time to time to say hello. You must be comfortable with a small dog in the home, have a driver's license and be comfortable driving, and be able to swim. There is a decent amount of down-time during the day when the children are at camp, so there are no set hours that you are expected to work, instead, the family asks you to be flexible enough to be on call while with them. You must be fun and energetic but also have a good understanding of family dynamics and be comfortable around larger groups of people. If you are interested in this position, hold a US Passport, Green Card, or EAC, and find the idea of spending the summer entertaining two energetic children exciting, please apply online to WP465.
