First-time parents are seeking a full-time, live-out nanny to care for their newborn. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 10am-6pm, with some flexibility to stay late, work evenings, and overnights as necessary. Responsibilities will include primary care for the child as both parents work full-time- meal preparation, laundry, handling sleep and feeding routines, coming up with fun and educational activities, taking her to classes and play-dates, museums, etc., and helping with any other needs that may arise. There is a housekeeper that comes in part-time, so only light housekeeping pertaining to the child will be required. The nanny will be able to help the family provide a caring, interactive, and nurturing environment for the child to thrive, grow, and develop emotionally, physically and mentally. You will be required to travel both internationally and domestically (from one week to one month at a time). You must be comfortable with NYC public transportation, be a strong swimmer, have CPR certification, and be willing to make at least a 5 year commitment. The nanny will be someone who enjoys spending time outdoors, who can explore all forms of creativity with the child, and who will be able to instill a strong moral code. There is a preference for applicants who speak a second language (ideally Greek), though this is not necessary. If you are interested in this position, have extensive newborn experience, and are legal to work in the US, please apply online to WP466.
