A growing family in Brooklyn is looking for a nanny to help care for their toddler and eventually an infant (expected in 2019). The schedule will be 45 hours per week Monday through Friday. Applicants should have a minimum of five years experience and be looking for a long-term position with a family. A cheerful, fun, and optimistic disposition is just as important to them as organizational skills and the ability to manage the child's belongings and schedule. They need someone who can travel with them 5-7 weeks per year and who enjoys finding new adventures wherever they are. Candidates should be experienced and knowledgeable in regards to child development, behavior management, and preschool transitions and phases- but also willing to work with involved parents as a partner and follow their directions as needed. Attention to detail, ability to anticipate needs and handle day to day details of the children's lives, and organization are key to success in this role. They view communication and two way feedback as key to a healthy working relationship and need someone who is comfortable with these types of conversations. A great attitude and ability to get along with others is also important as they have a housekeeper, part-time babysitters, and a baby nurse you would need to partner with. If this sounds like a position for you and you're legal to work in the US, please apply online to AM179.
