A high-end home is looking for an amazing Estate/House Manager to help run and maintain their estate and staff in addition to a second smaller home a few blocks away. Successful candidates will be experienced and enthusiastic career service professionals. They will excel at taking complete ownership of maintaining the estate, making sure everything runs smoothly, and creating a peaceful and beautiful environment. Responsibilities include: Detailed ongoing organization and maintenance, inside and out, management of house staff and vendor relationships, overseeing the use of dishes, flowers, linens and decorative objects, especially seasonally, and planning and running events. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three (preferably five) years relevant experience running a large and complex estate—including managing vendors, full-time housekeepers and other staff—a four-year college degree (highly preferred), would be educated and passionate about house management—following both traditional and new methods, and be able to oversee everything from systems and construction management, to making beds or folding napkins. The Estate Manager must have impeccable manners, be meticulous and service-oriented, and be discreet. Service experience/skills a plus. M-F, 8am to 6pm and some weekend flexibility.
