Overview

A loving family is seeking an energetic, routine-driven morning nanny and mother's helper to conquer the morning rush. The primary goal is to implement a calm, structured routine to get their three children up, fed, dressed, and out the door seamlessly. This position requires someone who lives close by, brings a positive attitude, and can transition into light household organization once the children are at school.

The schedule will be Monday through Friday, 6.15am-10.15am with approximately 20-hours per week.

The family employs a full-time afternoon nanny (11:00 AM – 7:00 PM). The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player, as there may be occasional scheduling overlaps or opportunities for flexible coverage.

The start date is for as soon as possible but they're happy to wait for the right person.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare breakfast for the two older children (ages 7 and 5) and ensure they are dressed, packed, and ready to catch the school bus (leaving the house at 7:05)
  • Ensure their 10-month-old is prepared for the day and take her to daycare (between 8:30 and 9).  This includes preparing baby led weaning foods for the baby and sitting with her when she is eating.
  • Bring a calm, structured presence to replace morning chaos with an efficient, peaceful routine
  • Once the children are dropped off, return to the home to tidy up breakfast, empty/load the dishwasher, keep on top of the baby's laundry, and run a quick vacuum if needed
  • Maintain a positive, cooperative relationship with the family’s afternoon nanny

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to implement schedules and keep the children moving on a strict morning timeline
  • The ideal candidate will be able to take direction well and value open communication
  • The candidate should be looking for a long-term commitment
  • French speaking is a plus, though not strictly required
  • Must live close to the family's residence for reliable, early morning arrivals

Requirements

  • Legally allowed to work in the US
  • Experience with infants (under 1 year) and school-aged children
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Ability to provide excellent references
