A lovely family of four is seeking a fantastic weekend nanny to assist them at their home in Rhinebeck, NY with their two sons, aged 18-months and 4.5-years. The family is ideally looking for full-time help on Saturdays and Sundays (10-12 hours per day) but they are flexible and open to local candidates who are available for fewer hours. They are also open to a NYC based candidate who is able to drive with them to Rhineback on Friday evenings and return on Sunday evenings. 

The family is away during the summer months, but they would be happy to have the weekend nanny spend time with them in the summers on the Vineyard if they would like to do that. This is a very sweet family who is down-to-earth and values their staff. 

• Follow and maintain age-appropriate routines for naps, feeding, diapering, hygiene, and daily schedules
• Plan and engage the children in creative, educational, and developmentally appropriate activities, including reading, music, sensory play, crafts, outdoor play, and imaginative play
• Encourage learning, independence, curiosity, and positive social development through meaningful daily interactions
• Plan and accompany the children to age-appropriate outings and activities, such as parks, libraries, story time, classes, and neighborhood walks
• Child-related tidying and organization
• Preparing basic child-friendly meals as needed
• Work collaboratively with involved parents, maintaining open communication while being comfortable taking initiative and managing the children's day independently

• Warm, patient, nurturing, and genuinely passionate about caring for young children
• Experience caring for multiple busy toddlers 
• Creative, engaging, and enthusiastic about planning enriching activities
• Calm, dependable, and proactive with excellent judgment
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
• Laid back and easy-going with a good sense of humor

• Physically fit and able to carry a large 18-month-old
• US work authorization
• Ability to drive with a clean record- if local to Rhinebeck, must have reliable transporation 
• Ability to swim and supervise children in the water 

• $40-45/hr.
