Overview

A family of four in San Francisco is seeking a full-time, live-out Nanny to work Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm, with some flexibility. The family has two children, a three-year-old daughter and a five-month-old son, and resides near Golden Gate Park. They are looking for an exceptional, experienced, and education-focused nanny who is passionate about early childhood development and interested in a long-term position.  Both parents are working professionals, with the mother working from home. Their daughter attends preschool five mornings per week, leaving dedicated time for the infant. The nanny should have experience caring for multiple children of different ages and be able to build a strong, trusting bond with both children.  The family would love to find someone who is genuinely present and engaged with the children, prioritizing their needs and development during outings and activities. The family strongly emphasizes education, developmental milestones, and creating enriching experiences through age-appropriate activities, outdoor play, music, art, and exploration. Someone with a background in early childhood education or a strong understanding of child development would be especially appealing. The position will hire immediately upon finding the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Extensive professional childcare experience with infants and toddlers

  • Strong knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate educational activities

  • Proven ability to care for two young children and foster meaningful relationships with both

  • Warm, patient, calm, reliable, and highly attentive to children's needs

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Comfortable working alongside a work-from-home parent

  • Willingness to assist with child-related household tasks and light tidying

  • Flexibility for occasional evening and weekends is appreciated

Requirements

  • Must be legal to work in the US
  • Already living locally in the SF/Bay Area
  • Fully vaccinated
  • Clean and valid driver's license preferred, but not required
  • Speaking a second language is a plus, not required
  • Willingness to travel occasionally is a plus, although travel is not required
  • Excellent, verifiable professional references
  • Seeking a long-term commitment
  • Comfortable around a small, friendly dog

Salary and Benefits

The family is offering a competitive hourly rate of $48/hr+, depending on experience and qualifications, with flexibility for an exceptional candidate.
