A single parent family is seeking two exceptional ROTA nannies to join their household and care for an almost 3-year-old boy and his newborn baby sister. The schedule will be 2 weeks on/ 2 weeks off. The family is happy to fly candidates in/out. On a daily basis candidates will work alongside dad and his boyfriend, along with a house manager, and extended family visit throughout the year. There is also a newborn care specialist in place until December.

This is a highly mobile, travel-heavy position for experienced candidates who are confident caring for both newborns and toddlers and enjoy an active, outdoors-oriented lifestyle. The family is based primarily in New York City but spends significant periods of the year in Montana, Minnesota, and other domestic and international destinations.

The ideal candidate will be warm, energetic, capable, discreet, highly adaptable, and comfortable working closely with another ROTA nanny and a broader household team. The family environment is relaxed and personable, while still requiring the professionalism, discretion, and standards expected in a high-end private household.

Candidates will ideally be in place in November to overlap with the current full-time nanny before her anticipated departure around December 1. 

• Provide developmentally appropriate care for a newborn and toddler
• Establish and maintain consistent routines across multiple homes and travel destinations
• Support the toddler around his preschool schedule, including drop-off/pick-up and care outside of preschool
• Be prepared to care for the toddler more extensively during periods when he is not at preschool, including the Winter season
• Plan and participate in age-appropriate activities, outings, and adventures
• Support newborn care as the baby grows and the current NCS arrangement concludes
• Manage children's laundry and clothing organization
• Pack and unpack children's belongings for travel
• Maintain children's rooms, play areas, and belongings in an organized and tidy manner (a professional cleaning team comes to the home approximately every 7–10 days)
• Support the children's daily routines while traveling
• Travel internationally and domestically with the family
• Drive children safely and confidently, including in winter/snow conditions
• Incorporate outdoor activities into the children's routine
• Potentially walk or assist with walking the family's two large Black Russian Terriers
• Provide general child-related household support, such as emptying the dishwasher and keeping the children's areas tidy
• Work collaboratively with the second nanny and other household staff
• Communicate effectively with the parents and household team
• Maintain discretion and professionalism at all times

The ideal candidate will have:

• Significant professional nanny experience with both newborns and toddlers
• Experience caring for two children simultaneously
• Previous experience in a private household or high-end nanny environment
• Strong newborn-care knowledge and confidence with infant routines
• Experience supporting toddlers through developmental milestones and transitions
• A warm, energetic, and engaging personality
• An active lifestyle and enthusiasm for outdoor activities
• Comfort working at altitude and in a large, multi-level home
• Experience working collaboratively with another nanny
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A flexible, adaptable approach to changing schedules and locations
• Comfort integrating naturally into a relaxed family environment while maintaining professional boundaries
• A willingness to become a trusted and familiar part of the family's broader lifestyle
• An educational background or experience working with young children in an educational setting would be a plus, particularly as the toddler will spend periods outside of preschool/ traveling

• Extensive domestic and international travel is required
• Must be a confident and experienced driver
• Must be comfortable driving in snow and winter conditions
• Must be comfortable caring for two children, including a newborn and toddler (strong newborn and toddler experience required)
• Must be comfortable working harmoniously and collaboratively as part of a two-nanny team
• Must be comfortable around large dogs
• Must be comfortable living and working across multiple locations
• Must be flexible regarding schedule and travel
• Must be able to maintain children's routines while traveling
• Must demonstrate excellent discretion and professionalism
• Must be comfortable with an outdoor lifestyle
• Must be comfortable working in a relatively informal, family-oriented environment while understanding the standards of a private household

The family is looking for someone who is capable and professional without being overly formal — someone who can naturally integrate into the family's lifestyle and work easily/comfortably alongside the family and existing staff.

• $135-$150k++ commensurate with experience and will be discussed with qualified candidates.
