A warm and welcoming family of four in Hudson Yards is seeking an experienced, long-term full-time nanny to join their household team. The family has a 1-year-8-month-old son and a 3-year-8-month-old daughter, both of whom attend school. They are looking for someone who is warm, highly engaged, organized, proactive, and exceptionally safety-conscious.

The ideal candidate genuinely enjoys the toddler and preschool years and has a strong understanding of the social-emotional development that comes with this stage. The family follows an empathetic, connection-based parenting approach and is looking for someone who can patiently navigate tantrums, big feelings, developing independence, sibling dynamics, and transitions while maintaining clear and appropriate boundaries.

Above all, the family is looking for a nanny who will be a collaborative partner to the parents. They value someone who listens, communicates openly, follows established routines and guidelines, anticipates needs, and brings a positive, can-do attitude into the home.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, approximately 7:30 AM–6:00/6:30 PM
• Some flexibility may be needed in the mornings depending on school schedules
• Flexibility for occasional date nights, including later evenings
• Occasional weekend evening coverage may be requested with advance notice
• Flexibility to travel with the family is required

• Provide attentive, loving, and highly engaged care for both children
• Prioritize the children's safety at all times, particularly while navigating Manhattan
• Manage school drop-offs and pick-ups and transport the children to extracurricular activities, playdates, and appointments
• Manage the children's daily and weekly schedules, including school, activities, meals, naps, sleep routines, and appointments
• Support the children's social-emotional development using empathetic, developmentally appropriate approaches to tantrums, big feelings, transitions, and behavioral challenges
• Encourage independence while maintaining clear, consistent, and age-appropriate boundaries
• Plan and participate in imaginative play, reading, games, arts and crafts, outdoor activities, and other developmentally appropriate enrichment
• Support the younger child's healthcare and therapeutic routines according to the parents' established protocols, including supplements and physical therapy
• Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children in accordance with the family's nutritional guidelines
• Maintain children's laundry and keep their rooms, toys, clothing, gear, and other belongings organized
• Clean up after the children's meals, play, and activities and maintain a tidy and organized environment in child-related areas
• Proactively prepare the children's belongings for school, activities, appointments, outings, and travel
• Foster a positive and loving relationship between the siblings
• Communicate proactively with the parents regarding schedules, routines, behaviors, milestones, and any concerns
• Anticipate the children's and family's needs and help make day-to-day life run as smoothly as possible

• Background in early childhood education, child development, or a related field is a plus
• Mandarin-speaking is a plus but is not required; overall fit, safety, experience, developmental knowledge, organization, and collaboration are the family's primary priorities
• Fluency in an additional language is a plus

• Minimum of 10 years of professional nanny experience preferred, with significant experience caring for toddlers and preschool-aged children
• Experience caring for two or more young children simultaneously and managing children at different developmental stages
• Strong understanding of early childhood and social-emotional development
• Comfortable with an empathetic, connection-based parenting approach and alternatives to punitive discipline or default time-outs
• Exceptional safety awareness and judgment
• Highly organized and capable of managing multiple schedules, activities, appointments, and routines
• Extremely reliable and punctual
• Warm, caring, patient, playful, and highly engaged
• Positive, proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to go above and beyond
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate closely with both parents
• Detail-oriented and comfortable following established nutrition, healthcare, and household protocols
• Experience working in Manhattan and confidence navigating New York City with young children strongly preferred
• Understanding of professional household boundaries and respect for the family's privacy
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally with the family

Compensation & Benefits

• $35–$45/hour gross, depending on experience and qualifications
• The family may have some flexibility for an exceptional candidate
• Two weeks of paid vacation, with one week coordinated with the family's vacation schedule
• Five paid sick/personal days
• Paid travel with the family
