Overview

A warm, professional couple based on the Upper East Side is seeking an experienced weekday nanny for their 16-month-old son.

Both parents work, so this is a sole-charge position. The nanny will take full responsibility for the child’s care throughout the day, from the morning routine through bedtime. The family is looking for someone confident and capable who can independently manage his schedule, meals, activities and developmental needs.

The typical schedule will be Monday through Friday, beginning at approximately 8:00 a.m. and ending around 6:15 p.m. The position will guarantee 52 hours per week and requires flexibility to work up to 60 hours when additional coverage or later evenings are needed.

The position can be live-in or live-out. For candidates who prefer to live in during the working week, private accommodation can be provided from Sunday evening through Thursday night.

This is a fully child-focused position with no general household cleaning required. The family hopes to find a nanny who is warm, calm, caring and easy to have in the home. The ideal candidate will be proactive and engaging without feeling the need to keep the child constantly scheduled or entertained. They should respect the family’s privacy and personal space, communicate openly and be interested in becoming a valued, long-term part of the household.
