A warm and loving family is seeking an experienced Part-Time Nanny to care for their 4-month-old son. The schedule is Monday through Wednesday from 7:30 AM–5:30 PM, with 30 guaranteed hours per week. The position will begin in early November.

Their son is a sweet, happy baby who is currently thriving on an established routine. The family is looking for a nurturing, loving, and dependable nanny who takes direction well and will maintain the routines that are working well for him. They particularly prioritize naps at home rather than on the go, as this has supported his nighttime sleep.

Both parents work outside the home, with only rare mornings at home. The family has a dog who attends daycare on the nanny’s working days. There may occasionally be brief crossover with the dog, but no pet care will be required.

The family values a gentle, loving, but firm approach to childcare. While this is a professional position, they recognize the important role their nanny will play in their son’s development and happiness and hope to build a warm, long-term relationship with the person joining their family.

• Providing attentive and loving care for the infant
• Maintaining his established feeding, nap, and daily routines
• Preparing and cleaning bottles and preparing age-appropriate meals as he grows
• Diapering, dressing, and general infant care
• Engaging in developmentally appropriate play, tummy time, reading, and activities
• Taking him to age-appropriate outings, activities, and classes
• Prioritizing naps at home in accordance with the family’s established routine
• Handling the child’s laundry
• Keeping the nursery, play areas, and child-related spaces clean and organized
• Cleaning and organizing bottles, feeding supplies, toys, and other child-related items
• Communicating regularly with the parents regarding the child’s day, development, and needs

• Prior professional infant care experience
• Knowledge of infant development and age-appropriate milestones
• Warm, nurturing, and engaging personality
• Comfortable following an established routine and taking direction from parents
• Reliable, communicative, and professional
• Comfortable working in a home with a dog, although no pet care is required
• Legally able to work in the United States

$38/hourly + DOE 

Benefits

Two weeks of PTO. The family requests at least one month’s notice for planned PTO to allow them to coordinate family coverage.

Major holidays that fall on a regularly scheduled Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday will be paid and off, including Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Fourth of July, Memorial Day, and Labor Day.

A MetroCard will be provided if needed.
