Overview

A warm and welcoming family in San Francisco is seeking an experienced, reliable, and highly proactive Full-Time Nanny/Family Assistant to become a trusted, long-term part of their household. The family has two young children, ages 4.5 and almost 2, and is looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children while also possessing a natural family-assistant mentality and willingness to help wherever needed.

This is a hands-on position that combines childcare with household support. The ideal candidate is warm, kind, energetic, organized, discreet, and exceptionally reliable. Just as importantly, they will understand professional boundaries and know intuitively when to step in and assist and when to give the parents and children space.

The family is open to live-in or live-out candidates and will also consider relocating an exceptional candidate. For a live-in candidate, excellent private accommodations will be provided.

The family anticipates approximately 50 hours per week, with flexibility required.

This is not a traditional 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. position. The family particularly needs support during the mornings, when the children are getting ready for school, and again in the afternoons/evenings when they return home.

The schedule may therefore include a split-shift structure, with downtime or time off during portions of the day while the children are at school. Some household responsibilities will be completed during daytime hours.

Weekend availability is also required, particularly for some Saturday support. The employee will receive a full day off each week, and the family is open to providing additional personal time during quieter weekday periods. Flexibility and a willingness to work collaboratively with the family's changing schedule are essential.
