Overview

A family in Denver is seeking a reliable, proactive, and highly organized full-time Family Assistant / Nanny hybrid.
 
The person will take ownership of whatever is needed to keep the home organized and running smoothly - from coordinating maintenance workers and returning packages to errands, organization, laundry, trash, and daily household upkeep.
 
The family has a toddler and is expecting a newborn in November, so professional experience with both toddlers and newborns is required.  Mom will be breastfeeding, so experience there is strongly appreciated.
 

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday, 11:30am–7:30pm
  • Start date: ASAP

Responsibilities

Daily Household Upkeep
  • Dishes and family laundry
  • Trash, recycling, and breaking down boxes
  • Tidying toys, clutter, and common areas
  • Wiping surfaces and light vacuuming
  • Keeping the kitchen and household spaces organized and reset
A separate cleaner provides deep cleaning every two weeks. Deep cleaning is not part of this position.
 
Household Management and Support
  • Notice household needs and handle them without waiting for instructions
  • Coordinate maintenance workers, repairs, and household service appointments
  • Manage packages, deliveries, returns, and exchanges
  • Grocery shopping and other household errands
  • Monitor and restock household supplies
  • Organize closets, toys, storage areas, and other household spaces
  • Prepare simple meals and school lunches
  • Complete other household tasks and projects as needs arise
Childcare
  • Provide safe and attentive care for the toddler and newborn when needed
  • Help with meals, naps, play, and daily routines
  • Assist with school transportation when needed

Qualifications

  • Warm, friendly, "apart of the family" personality 
  • Get it done attitude, enjoys managing the household and knowing what needs to be done before the family does

Requirements

  • Professional experience with both toddlers and newborns
  • Relevant household manager, family assistant, nanny, or private-household experience
  • Proactive, flexible, and willing to handle a wide variety of tasks
  • Highly organized and able to manage priorities independently
  • Dependable, punctual, and communicative
  • Strong professional references
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Salary and Benefits

  • $45 per hour
  • W-2 employment
  • PTO, Sick Days, Federal Holidays off
  • Mileage reimbursed at the current IRS rate for work-related driving
