Overview

A professional family is seeking an experienced, engaging Nanny to care for their 15-month-old daughter. Both parents are surgeons with demanding schedules and are looking for a nanny who can provide dependable coverage while also bringing a thoughtful, developmental approach to their daughter's days.

They are looking for someone who will take the role beyond basic supervision. They want a Nanny who genuinely enjoys being with a young child and will plan activities, encourage learning, get outside, and make the most of the day rather than simply keeping her entertained. Mandarin-speaking ability is a wonderful plus, as Mom speaks Mandarin and would love to continue exposing their daughter to the language.

This position can be live-in or live-out depending on the candidate. The family has additional space available for a live-in nanny.

The family is easygoing about household responsibilities - the nanny will not be expected to take on family assistant duties. The parents have a meal service, handle their own household chores, and will prepare their daughter's food. The nanny's focus should remain on excellent childcare and keeping things tidy as part of the normal care of the child.

Schedule:

  • Two primary days per week, Wednesday and Thursday, approximately 7:00am–6:00pm
  • Third day is a flexible "float" day depending on the family's needs
  • Some weeks may require additional coverage when the parents' schedules change
  • Schedule can be flexible on the remaining day(s)
  • Parents are typically home before 6:00pm, though occasional later coverage may be needed
  • ASAP start for the right candidate
  • Long-term opportunity
