Overview

A sweet family of four is seeking a fantastic executive housekeeper/laundress to assist them at their home in the West Village. The schedule for this role will generally be Monday through Friday, 9:30am-5:30pm, with some flexibility for events occurring during evenings and weekends. This is a long-time client of BAHS- they are generous and kind, and they are seeking a truly wonderful high-end housekeeper who wants to be with them for many years. 

Responsibilities

  • Deep cleaning and daily tidying in conjunction with existing housekeeper
  • Creating and maintaining household organization systems
  • Daily laundry, including fine fabrics and linens, with regular ironing and use of a pressing machine 
  • Grocery shopping and basic errands 
  • Assisting in the kitchen with basis prep as needed- chopping vegetables, etc.
  • Providing service during events and parties
  • Packing for travel

Qualifications

  • Team player- the family has a solid existing staff structure and are seeking someone who wants to work on a team
  • Self-starter who takes initiative to create and maintain organization within the home 
  • Discreet and polished 
  • Willing to help in the kitchen as needed
  • Kind and joyful presence
  • "No job is too big or too small" attitude 

Requirements

  • US work authorization
  • Spanish speaking would be a big plus! 
  • Experience in high-end homes and with fine furnishings and linens
  • Experience with service and comfortable with interacting with both vendors and guests
  • Able to maintain a 6800 square foot apartment- there is an elevator, but candidates must be physically fit and able to handle a home of this size

Salary and Benefits

  • $55-60/hr. DOE
