Overview

A warm, experienced, and highly reliable Nanny / Family Assistant is sought for a busy family with two children, approximately ages 2 and 7, in the Palo Alto / Stanford area. The ideal candidate is first and foremost an experienced nanny who genuinely enjoys being around children and takes pride in creating a warm, engaging, and well-organized environment.

The parents are very hands-on with their children, so the successful candidate should be comfortable working alongside them, able to read the room, know when to step in and take the lead, and equally comfortable giving parents space. The family is busy with school and work and values someone proactive who notices what needs to be done and is willing to go the extra mile.

Ideally, the selected candidate will have an opportunity to overlap with the current Nanny / Family Assistant before the end of September to become familiar with the children, routines, household organization, and family preferences, allowing for a smooth transition. Start date on their own will be September 28.

Schedule:

Regular schedule generally falls between 11:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m - 30hrs guaranteed

Schedule may vary depending on the family's needs and the children's activities.

Additional hours may occasionally be requested during the week for errands or family support.

Occasional weekend hours may also be requested, with advance notice whenever possible.

Additional hours will be paid at the applicable hourly/overtime rate in accordance with California law.
