Overview

A warm, respectful family of four in Rye, NY is seeking a proactive, highly organized Part-Time Household Assistant to help keep their busy household running smoothly. This is a hands-on role for someone who genuinely enjoys creating order, anticipating needs, and taking pride in maintaining a well-run home. This role will also include providing support to two teenagers, with after-school pick-ups and taking them to activities, if needed.

A professional cleaning team services the home twice per week, so this position is centered on maintaining the home's day-to-day appearance and functionality in between cleanings.

The ideal candidate is a true self-starter who notices what needs to be done, enjoys taking ownership of their work, and is equally comfortable managing household projects, running errands, keeping the home clean, and assisting with after-school family needs. The family values discretion, flexibility, professionalism, and someone who can easily "read the room" while respecting the family's privacy.

The candidate must be comfortable working in a home with pets; minimal pet care required. The family has one friendly English Shepherd, two parakeets, a gerbil, and a hermit crab.

Start Date: Flexible

Schedule:
3 weekdays per week 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

The family has flexibility regarding which three weekdays are worked but would like the schedule to remain consistent once established.
