A lovely family in Tampa, FL is seeking an experienced House Manager to join their household one day a week. The specific weekday and hours will be confirmed directly with the family.

The family lives on a few acres and values a home that is consistently organized, well maintained, and running smoothly behind the scenes. They are looking for someone proactive who identifies what needs attention before being asked, rather than someone who waits for direction.

• Keep high traffic areas tidy 

• Manage packages and returns 

• Organize and maintain closets, offices, mudroom, garages, and foyer 

• Keep pantry and refrigerator organized and stocked appropriately 

• Maintain household inventory and goods 

• Monitor property interior and exterior grounds and identify repairs or preventative maintenance needs, contacting vendors as needed 

• Weekly menu and grocery planning 

• Hurricane prep when needed 

• Help with event prep 

• Liaise with contractors and vendors on behalf of the family 

• Proactively flag and resolve household issues without requiring the family to point them out 

• Bring structure and best practices to the household as the family’s first house manager 

• Maintain a high level of attention to detail throughout the home 

• Light meal prep when needed 

• Able to perform simple projects such as toy rotation, assembling small purchases, and arranging florals

• Experience managing a private household or comparable high level residential environment 

• Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the role 

• Strong project management and organizational instincts 

• Ability to eventually take on light oversight of household staff over time, should the role evolve in that direction

• Private household experience 

• Valid US work authorization 

• Strong verifiable references 

• Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred, as Spanish is spoken by contractors, vendors, staff, and the family 

• Self-starter with high attention to detail 

• Proactive communication style

• $35 to $45 per hour

• Bonuses at the family’s discretion, tied to special projects
