Overview

A warm, loving, and highly engaged high-profile family in Tribeca, NYC is seeking an experienced Full-Time Nanny/Family Assistant to become a valued long-term member of their household. This role focuses on providing exceptional care for two young children while supporting the mom in the overall organization and day-to-day flow of a busy family home.

The ideal candidate is nurturing, energetic, highly organized, and genuinely enjoys working with toddlers and infants. The family is looking for someone who can confidently balance the needs of two young children, create engaging and educational experiences, and seamlessly transition between childcare and family assistant responsibilities throughout the day.

This is a collaborative household where Mom is home and very involved with the children. She is looking for a true partner, someone who is comfortable working as a team while also confidently taking full responsibility for both children when needed. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to anticipate the family's needs without requiring constant direction.

The family practices a gentle, respectful parenting philosophy centered around emotional regulation, co-regulation, clear boundaries, and encouraging independence. 

The family spends summers in the Hamptons and enjoys traveling together throughout the year. They are seeking someone who is flexible, highly experienced with two young children, and is excited to become an integral part of a busy, active household. The family currently employs a weekend nanny and has a PT housekeeper in both the Hamptons and the city. 

Start Date: Flexible or ASAP 

Schedule

  • Approximately 55 guaranteed hours per week

  • Monday–Friday, approximately 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM

  • 2x a week later evenings

  • Flexibility for domestic and international travel

  • Summers spent in the Hamptons, with the family covering the nanny heading back to the city in their off-time

  • Additional travel throughout the year based on the family's schedule

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, loving, and developmentally appropriate care for two young children

  • Confidently manage the needs of both children simultaneously

  • Create engaging, educational, and age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and development

  • Encourage reading, imaginative play, outdoor activities, and hands-on learning

  • Support daily routines including meals, naps, baths, and bedtime

  • Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children

  • Assist with family laundry

  • Maintain organization of children's bedrooms, play spaces, clothing, and supplies

  • Grocery shopping and household inventory management as needed 

  • Keep children's items stocked and communicate when supplies are running low

  • Perform light household maintenance, including tidying common areas and kitchen cleanup 

  • Assist with occasional errands as needed

  • Travel with the family domestically and internationally

  • Collaborate closely with parents while also taking initiative independently

  • Maintain a highly engaged, screen-free approach while caring for the children

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience caring for infants and toddlers simultaneously

  • Experience supporting busy households as both a nanny and family assistant

  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail

  • Strong multitasking and time management skills

  • Proactive and able to anticipate household needs

  • Warm, engaging, and energetic personality

  • Strong understanding of early childhood development

  • Background in education or child development preferred

  • Comfortable collaborating closely with hands-on parents

  • Professional, flexible, and adaptable

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Career nanny with outstanding professional references

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

  • Confident swimmer, non-negotiable 

  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)

  • Valid passport and willingness to travel

  • Legally authorized to work as a W-2 employee

  • Comfortable driving in the Hamptons

  • Non-smoker 

  • Up-to-date vaccines and tetanus(Flu and COVID are not a requirement)

Salary and Benefits

  • $140k-$148k 

  • $500/month health stipend 

  • W-2 employment
  • 2 weeks paid vacation(1 week nannies choice, 1 week families choice) 

  • Transportation benefits, including MetroCard, gas reimbursement, and Uber transportation after 8:00 pm shifts

  • Additional travel and overnight compensation, already included in the total annual compensation
