Overview

A warm, active family in Austin is seeking an exceptional full-time Professional Nanny to become a trusted, long-term part of their family beginning August 17. They have three wonderful daughters, ages 6, 4, and 3, who are all in school, and are looking for someone who is caring, energetic, dependable, and genuinely loves working with children. Their ideal nanny enjoys being active, creating fun experiences, and building meaningful relationships with the children in their care.

This is a full-time, year-round position for an experienced career nanny. While the role will initially focus on providing exceptional childcare, the family hopes to find someone interested in growing alongside them for many years. As the children become more independent, they envision the position naturally evolving into a Household Manager/Personal Assistant role, with increasing responsibility for managing family schedules, appointments, travel logistics, household organization, vendors, errands, and other family operations.

Mom is the Founder & CEO of a rapidly growing healthcare technology company, and Dad has a demanding career in finance that requires frequent travel. Because of their schedules, the family is looking for someone who can become a trusted extension of their household, providing consistency, stability, and dependable support for their daughters while helping keep their busy home running smoothly.

Schedule

The typical schedule is:

Monday through Friday
11:00 AM–7:00 PM

Occasionally, the schedule may shift to 1:00 PM–9:00 PM for dinners or evening events, with advance notice whenever possible.

Candidates must be comfortable with schedule flexibility, including:

  • School holidays and teacher workdays
  • Early dismissal days
  • Occasional Saturdays
  • Schedule adjustments during parent work travel
  • Occasional overnight care
  • Traveling with the family
  • Spending extended periods in Sun Valley, Idaho during the summer months

Responsibilities

The nanny's primary focus will be providing exceptional care for the family's three daughters while helping maintain structure, consistency, and enjoyable daily routines.

Responsibilities include:

  • Safely driving the children to and from school, activities, appointments, and playdates
  • Planning fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activities that encourage learning, creativity, and outdoor play
  • Preparing healthy snacks and simple meals for the children
  • Assisting with homework, bath time, and bedtime routines when needed
  • Encouraging the children to tidy and organize their bedrooms, play areas, and belongings
  • Assisting with occasional family errands and light meal preparation
  • Packing and helping the children prepare for family travel
  • Traveling with the family, including spending extended periods in Sun Valley, Idaho during the summer
  • Maintaining the children's routines while traveling
  • Providing occasional overnight care when both parents are traveling
  • Communicating with the parents regarding schedules, activities, and important updates
  • Assisting with family scheduling, logistics, and organization as needed, with increasing responsibility over time as the role evolves

The family employs a full-time housekeeper, so general housekeeping, laundry, and deep cleaning are not part of this role. The nanny will simply be expected to encourage the children to clean up after themselves and foster age-appropriate responsibility.

Driving is a significant part of the position, so candidates must be comfortable regularly transporting the children throughout Austin and while traveling.
