Overview

A warm, busy family based on Manhattan’s Upper West Side is seeking an experienced part-time nanny to care for their two children. The mother will return to work in October, and the family would like the nanny to begin by mid-September to allow time for a comfortable handover.

The family is looking for someone who will become a trusted and consistent presence in their home. Their ideal nanny will be warm and engaging, respect the children’s individual personalities, and provide gentle boundaries without being overly strict or overbearing.

This is an active role involving pick-ups from two schools located a few blocks apart, both approximately ten blocks and two avenues from the family’s home, followed by after-school activities. Before collection, the nanny will help with the children’s laundry, organisation, and meal preparation.

The regular schedule is Monday through Thursday from 1:00–6:00 p.m., with potential Friday hours from 12:30 p.m. The position offers approximately 20–25 hours per week and pays $40–$45 per hour, depending on experience.
