Overview

A kind couple based on the Upper East Side is seeking a knowledgeable and supportive part-time nanny for their baby born in April to start in August. The schedule will be 3 days per week, 5 hours per day for 15 hours total per week. They are open to any 3 days, Monday through Thursday, as long as the days are consistent each week. Optional additional hours would be available if desired, staying later for a weeknight date night.

Responsibilities

Full infant care including:
• Changing diapers; restocking the changing area with diapers/wipes
• Baby Laundry - wash, fold, put away
• Feeding baby and preparing bottles; helping with introducing solids and making purees as the baby gets older
• Cleaning, sanitizing, and prepping bottles/baby items
• Developmentally appropriate play and interaction including singing and reading
• Maintain feeding and sleeping schedule
• Prioritizing the safety and well-being of the baby at all times
• Provide professional guidance as it pertains to baby care, while respecting the family’s personal preferences

Qualifications

• An easygoing and warm attitude and be able to strike a balance between providing suggestions to parents and following their lead
• Organized and tidy
• Happy to work as a team with a stay-at-home mother; some days will be more childcare focused and some days will be more household help

Requirements

• Comfortable with a small friendly hypoallergenic dog
• Minimum of at least 5 years' verifiable experience working with infants including newborns
• US passport, Green Card or EAC
• Up to date on Tdap and MMR vaccinations or willing to update

Salary and Benefits

$35 per hour
Guaranteed hours, paid federal holidays, sick days, and PTO
