Overview


A family living in Silicon Valley, with other residences nearby, is seeking a ROTA nanny to join their team.  There are three children aged 3, 7, and 9 years old.  The schedule is flexible to be one week on/off or two weeks on/off.  You can fly in/out with the family covering the expenses and providing local housing nearby or live locally and go home at evenings.  It is all about the right fit for the family.  The family is looking for a career nanny who is seeking longevity in a role and with a family.  They are ready to hire upon finding the right candidate. The family is open to fly in/out or helping the candidate relocate. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe, positive, and stimulating environment for all three children
  • Transport the children to and from school and other activities as needed
  • Engage the children in educational and fun indoor and outdoor play
  • Provide structured and unstructured opportunities for learning and development
  • Support family travel: pack and unpack, research and plan children's meals and activities, and lead
  • structured in-flight activities
  • Travel with the family as needed
  • Assist the children in making gifts and cards for family birthdays and holidays
  • Bathe and dress the children, including changing diapers and potty training
  • Read to and with the children
  • Administer medicine when needed, with parental consent
  • Organize the children's rooms and play areas
  • Ensure all homes are optimally set up for the children
  • Send nightly summaries to parents covering the highlights of the day
  • Support research and registration for enrichment activities, sports, and camps

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Must be legal to work in the US
  • Trustline Certified or willing to be
  • Kind, loving and caring personality
  • Prior ROTA experience is a must
  • Teaching background or experience is a plus
  • 7–10+ years of professional nanny experience with UHNW families
  • Experience with three children, busy households, and personal/work-combination travel
  • Early childhood or elementary education background
  • Strong references from long-term families
  • Pediatric CPR/First Aid certified (certification course can be provided)
  • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally
  • Valid driver's license (driving is a requirement of the position)
  • Proficient swimmer
  • Able to ride a bicycle
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs
  • Background check required following a conditional offer, conducted in accordance with applicable law

Salary and Benefits

The family is open on salary with a base of $60-$75+ per hour depending on experience and a guaranteed annual salary when the family travels without you, paid in accordance with California law.

  • PAID HOLIDAYS (10) (If a holiday is worked due to travel or other circumstances, it is paid at your regular rate for all hours worked plus eight (8) hours of holiday pay, consistent with Company policy.).
