Overview

A busy professional with properties in the Reisterstown area of Maryland and in Florida, is seeking a top-notch personal assistant to handle their personal, professional, and social affairs. This is a full-time role, primarily on-site at the residence in Baltimore County, Maryland, with travel to the other property, as needed.  The position is ready to hire upon finding the right candidate.  Apply only if seeking longevity.  

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct personal assistance to the principal, supporting daily personal and administrative needs with professionalism and discretion.
  • Work from the principal’s home in Maryland to manage tasks, errands, deliveries, and household-related requests.
  • Shop for groceries, household supplies, and personal items; ensure the home is appropriately stocked and organized.
  • Coordinate birthday, anniversary, holiday, and other special-occasion gifting, including researching gift ideas, purchasing, wrapping, shipping, and tracking important dates.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, reservations, services, and personal commitments for the principal.
  • Maintain and update the principal’s calendar, reminders, recurring dates, appointments, and deadlines.
  • Coordinate household vendors, deliveries, maintenance appointments, service providers, and other home-related logistics as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with the principal’s household staff to ensure clear communication, smooth daily operations, and seamless follow-through on household and personal requests.
  • Assist with errands, returns, mailing, shipping, dry cleaning, personal and grocery shopping, and other day-to-day tasks.
  • Support coordination between the principal’s Maryland and Florida homes, including stocking, preparation, scheduling, and communication with local vendors or service providers.
  • Help prepare the home for the principal’s arrival, guests, small gatherings, or personal commitments as requested.
  • Track purchases, receipts, and follow-up items in an organized manner.
  • Anticipate needs, identify opportunities to simplify the principal’s day-to-day life, and follow through on tasks without extensive direction.
  • Maintain a secure and confidential environment and handle all personal, household, and family information with discretion and professionalism.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, Family Assistant or in a similar private-service role
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills,
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting requests.
  • Strong calendar management, scheduling, follow-up, and communication skills.
  • Resourceful, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative to solve problems and anticipate needs.
  • High attention to detail and a strong sense of follow-through.
  • Warm, polished, professional communication style with vendors, service providers, guests, and family contacts.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with household staff, vendors, and service providers while maintaining clear communication and professionalism.
  • Strong judgment, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters.
  • Comfortable working independently in a private home environment and adapting to the principal’s preferences and routines.

Requirements

  • Must be legal to work in the US.
  • Must be able to work from the principal’s home as needed.
  • This is a 40-hour-per-week position with no set schedule; flexibility is required based on the principal’s needs.
  • Must be available for occasional evenings, weekends, or schedule adjustments with advance notice whenever possible.
  • Must be comfortable supporting needs related to homes in both Maryland and Florida.
  • Must be an excellent communicator and highly responsive via phone, email, and text.
  • Tech savvy and comfortable using smartphones, email, calendars, lists, shared documents, and household or task-management tools.
  • A “can do” attitude, including willingness to handle any task required, no matter how small.
  • Excellent judgment, strong attention to detail, and ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Positive, service-oriented personality while maintaining professionalism and appropriate boundaries.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality in all matters.

Salary and Benefits
