Overview

A professional executive and father is seeking an experienced Household Manager / Personal Assistant to oversee household operations and executive support. This role works alongside a dedicated Nanny Manager / Family Assistant, who serves as the household's primary childcare provider. The Household Manager focuses on operations, logistics, scheduling, vendor management, and administrative support while providing only occasional continuity coverage for the children when necessary.

Schedule

Guaranteed 20 hours per week.
Monday through Friday, generally 7:30 AM–11:30 AM, with flexibility based on household needs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily household operations, vendors, projects, scheduling, travel logistics, errands, inventory, and administrative support.
  • Coordinate transportation logistics and provide occasional school transportation when needed in support of household operations.
  • Provide occasional continuity coverage for the children when the Nanny Manager is unavailable or during employer travel. This is not intended to be the household's primary childcare position.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Household Manager, Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, Family Assistant, Estate Manager, or similar private service role
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent priorities in a fast-paced private household
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to create and maintain efficient household systems and processes
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee household projects from planning through completion
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of professionalism
  • Experience coordinating household vendors, contractors, service providers, and maintenance schedules
  • Strong calendar management and scheduling experience involving multiple family members and competing priorities
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate household needs before they arise
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain strict confidentiality, and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with the employer and other household staff
  • Experience supporting high-profile executives, entrepreneurs, or busy professional families preferred
  • Cultural competence and appreciation for diverse family structures and backgrounds
  • Long-term mindset with a genuine interest in becoming a trusted member of the household support team

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Reliable personal vehicle required. Mileage reimbursement provided for all work-related driving.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Comfortable using personal technology, scheduling platforms, and household management software
  • Ability to occasionally adjust schedule to accommodate vendor appointments, special projects, or employer travel
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds when handling household supplies, packages, or errands
  • Professional references demonstrating longevity, reliability, and exceptional performance in previous private service roles
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Salary and Benefits

$45–$65/hour - Depending on experience.
20 guaranteed hours per week with paid vacation, paid holidays, paid sick leave, mileage reimbursement, and additional benefits to be discussed.
